Try the Yellow pages..all have free consultation ( or call your county's court system attorney referral service.. they can refer an attorney for your case)..after that you pay! All times you speak for free its just an assistant to the lawyer..they relay the message..then it cost to go beyond that after an initinal meeting with the lawyer..if you agree to take the case with them.
Lawyers are not crooks..they defend you..depends on the case..the more serious the more it cost.
Had to say it..my wife is an attorney ( for a corporation)!
As for police misconduct..just another case to them..make sure you know what you want to charge them about!
You might want a civil rights attorney..or a religious attorney..possible just get it done attorney..understand now..have a good reason why doing it besides just being pissed off with the police . BE HAPPY LET IT GO..OR BE HAPPY AND WIN THE CASE!

Freelance photographer arrested on a false police report. Illegal search and seizure of my camera. Refused accusers name for one year. In a neighboring town I was forced off of public parking lot and threatened to have my finger broken for pointing my finger. Internal affairs have done nothing for over a year. I have all correspondence with internal affairs and false police report. I should note that I have been harassed by both the Tuckerton Police and little Egg Harbor police (bordering town) repeatedly over my first amendment right to photograph while on public property. Can anyone advise or help?
