What Options would I have for getting form mid-town Newarks in-to Times Sq?.

You have 2 options , New Jersey Transit form Newark Penn to NY Penn , or PATH Newark to Journal SQ - 33rd Street lines. PATH is cheaper but might take longer during the rush hours.

There may also be buses, check the NJTransit.com website. PATH goes to 33rd St and so does the NJ Transit train, a block West. PATH is $1.75.

108 bus takes you directly to 42nd St at Port Authority Bus Terminal: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0108.pdf

It's local though, and stops in Union City depending on the time. Also 50 cents more than the train but it takes you practically a block away from Times Square, whereas with NJT rail you have to walk 8 blocks or take the subway.
