Mountain Creek (also has a water park), The Delaware Water Gap, or Ramapo Mountain Reservation could work.

Mountain Creek is great fun but (isn't there always a but?) if you chose to take your kids there take note of two things 1) Make sure it's a REEEEAALLY hot day, the air is a little cooler there since it's in the mountains and the water they use is MUCH colder than your average park. If you go on a day it's not too hot you're going to find yourself avoiding the rides. 2) Only go if your children are the adventerous love extreme rides and roller coaster type kids. If they shy away from these types of rides you're going to be disapointed, the rides are pretty extreme.

Thanks for all the ideas... I didnt think about going to do some fruit picking with the kids that would def. be fun. And I'm actually planning on going to the Drive in at Warwick with the kids this weekend. I'm going to look into the Bergen County Zoo.

There is also "Land of Make Belive" in Hope NJ....inexpensive (check them out online), TOTALLY kid geared amusement park for the kids...also a pretty good size water park section as well if it's a steamy day (like today would be PERFECT)...it is a GREAT day for a family. An equally great place is "Storybook Land" in I belive t's in Little Egg Harbor, NJ (find them online as well) Have fun no matter what you decide!!!
