Hi there- my husband and 2 year old daughter and I are currently in hoboken and looking to move to Westfield as a possibility. I'm hearing all wonderful things about it, but am having a hard time finding out about the jewish population and if there is a presence in town. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

They have a jewish presence in town but
Your best bet would be to take a ride up that way
on the weekend , You will not be disappointed .
I am not Jewish, but many of my friends are. There is a decent presence here. Most of my friends that are Jewish send their children to Temple Emmanuel in Westfield for preschool, and some kindergarten-(even if this is not the temple that they belong to). This becomes a good way to meet people. There is also a JCC in Scotch Plains which has a preschool and, summer day camp.
I am not sure what the percent of population is, maybe 5%, maybe more. You should be able to find that info online...

Yes, there is quite a large Jewish population in Westfield. Why don't you go on the internet and put in Westfield, places of worship or Temples and Synagogues. I'm sure you will find the information you are looking for. It is a wonderful town. Good luck.
Westfield has the best downtown area. You will have a great time exploring the town, good luck.
