What is the best method of commute from South Hackensack to NYC? Route 46 route does not look pedestrian friendly. is there park and ride nearby? how is Essex street Park and ride and / or trains? is there fee to pay? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The Teterboro station on the Pascack Valley line. Takes 30-40mins by train and 6.25$ one way = 169$ a monthly. I don't think they charge for parking there. The first train is @ 6.03 am , 6.41 , 7.24 , 7.39 , 8.13 , 8.27 , 8.53 and 10.12 am trains. The station is located below Route 46.

Depending on where you are in South Hackensack - the *best* way to commute to NYC is via the NJ Transit bus. After S.Hackensack, it jumps right onto the highway and ends up in NYC within 45 minutes.

You can catch it either on Route 46 (there is a stop right there) or you can also catch it closer to the Hackensack border (there are many stops there). In most cases, it'll be a 10 minute or less walk from your house -- so no parking issues for you.

Don't worry, one of the easy benefits of living in S.Hackensack is that you can commute to NYC rather cheaply and relatively quickly.
