You can take a virtual trip on the above map. You can click on the street and find the people who live on this street and find the house sales price and taxes.
I work in Iselin and it's maybe 10 minutes from Colonia, tops. You're extremely close to Metropark so that makes the NYC commute easy, or you could always drive to the Rahway station. Metropark has better and more frequent service, though.
Avoid the area by the train tracks for obvious reasons, who wants to live across from the Northeast Corridor?
Don't know about taxes or anything else, but it has the original Muscle Maker Grill. I eat there all the time.
I grew up in Colonia. My parents still live there. Iselin is the next town over. Metro Park train station is close which makes getting to NYC easy. The homes are more expensive then other areas and the taxes are not cheep either. Its a safe area. I don't think there are any bad areas of the town. Let me know if you have more questions
Facebook also has a few walls you can look at to see what people say. You can find them under Colonia and 07067. I've lived here most of my life. You'll be close to shopping and highways. Taxes are high, but what town isn't in New Jersey.

Reason: spelling
Colonia is the "rich" section of Woodbridge. Lots of mansions, and I mean real mansions like on 12+ acres of property, not those ugly new "McMansions" you see in the newer developing areas. Probably at least $1M or more. Can you afford that?
There are sections of Colonia that have small cape cods and such. Where I am guessing they cost around the mid $300K with taxes around 6-7K. These areas are just off Inman Ave near the Walgreens, St. John Vianney Church,

Colonia is a lovely place to live. Safe neighborhoods. But the parents can be very cliquey and stuck up. There is a lot of "not my kid" attitudes here - and guess what - it's usually their kids causing the trouble! Otherwise, low laxes, decent houses and some very lovely neighborhoods. You can pick up a house in the mid $200 g right now. Schools are not bad either. It's a nice place to live, but after living here for 25 years, I still can't get "picked" by the PTA to chaperone an event. I'm not friends with the "right" people (pretty much by choice though!)
