All joking aside springfield is a very nice town do not have any concerns or worries living there, I am there a lot and its very nice only negative is no real downtown but its so close to Millburn and/or westfield/cranford.
Yes, when we were looking there, we knew there's no much of a downtown, but at least there are some shops there. Since it is so close to Millburn, Summit and Westfield, it's not much of an issue.

Thanks for the reassurance.

It's definitely a better town than Union. It looks like a very nice area and definitely has more in common with Scotch Plains for example than Union. I really would like to find that thread where someone said that because currently it is nothing like Irvington at all. It was awhile ago that I saw that so I took it with a grain of salt, then it got mentioned more recently in another thread about South Orange heading downhill. On that same thread I asked what the deal was with Springfield and no one responded. So I started another thread to see what the deal was with this town because I don't get why anyone would say that because statistically its demographics don't signal any downturn.

Anyway, sorry if I worried you. Hope it works out for you there.

No problem, Charles. Each town has it's pros and cons and it is how you make of it.

I live in Westfield, and I must say that Springfield is very nice, and certainly well located.

Gear up for some ghetto and golf. PGA is scheduled to come back to Baltusrol on 2016. So the downturn must be delayed, at least for a little while longer lol.
