I am moving to NJ and am likely to rent an apartment within max 30-40 minutes drive from Wayne (my workplace).

I am looking at Edison, Parsippany, Livingston or Pinebrook. My budget to rent an apartment (2 BR) is $1400. Another consideration is a good school district for a 5 yr old kid.

Can somebody let me know a good place where I can get an apartment within my budget and is also a good school district.

Thanks

Livingston has one of the top school systems in the state, but there arent any apartments there. Just single family houses and town houses, and they will cost a lot more than $1400 to rent.

You can rent a 2 bed in Parsippany for $1,400. Schools are heavily Indian which may or may not be a concern for you. You would be hard pushed to find something in Montville (Pine Brook) for that price but it may be done. Perhaps you can also look in Kinnelon where the schools are great. Won't be an apt but you might be able to find a 2/1 house for that price. I saw one listed in the paper the other day for $1,500.

Look at Rachel Gardens in Pine Brook. They might be inyour price range.
