Bridgeway I ate at once. Pretty good.

I grew up in Manalapan and back then the Manalapan Diner was terrible. From what I have heard it has improved more recently. We used to always go to Empire in Freehold which was great, but is no longer there.

Golden Bell is pretty good too, further on down Rt 9.

I really like the Butler Family Diner. I only get to go once in a while while visiting friends in the area. If it was closer to home I would be there all the time.
They have the best stuffed burgers! Actually my favorite breakfast there is the Stuffed French Toast.

Shore Diner in Egg Harbor is very good.

I always preferred the Candlewyck to the Tick-Tock.

What about the legendary Colonial Diner in Lyndhurst? I haven't been there in awhile, but it used to be very good.

The Diner on 440 in Jersey City near the IHOP. Fantastic coffee and great breakfast. I've got an appraisal to do in Newark, I might just stop there on Monday.

in no particular order...

Park West Diner - Little Falls
The Couch House Diner - Hackensack
Tick Tock Diner - Clifton
Stateline Diner - Mahwah
Peterpank Diner - Sayreville
Hammonton Diner - Hammonton
Pompton Queen Diner - Pompton Lakes

Diners that were cut after renovations killed their original appeal:

Northvale Classic Diner - Northvale
Six Brothers Diner - Little Falls
