Hi all,

We are currently evaluating a few moving companies to move us from Princeton, NJ to Long Branch, NJ or Manasquan, NJ. One that seems to top the list so far is 1st Moving Corp. (www.FirstMovingUSA.com) out of Freehold NJ.

Here is my situation - I had many movers come to do on-site estimates, and "1st Moving Corp." not only came in at the lowest rate, but they made us feel the most comfortable about our move. The guy took a list of all the things we would be moving, emailed it back to us, and gave us a rate based on those things. He said this quote also includes things such as pads, labor, mileage, etc. Basically the quote is supposed to include every fee, assuming we dont use their boxes, have things packed, etc

**I should note that I originally called them for an estimate, because when I moved to NJ from out of state, the company we hired out-sourced our move to them (little did we know). They did a great job on that move though - very fast/efficient, no problems. **

We have followed the recommended process , reviewed their record on FMCSA ,checked their local New Jersey License and Insurance. They seem fine but we are never too careful .

Any red flags? Anyone in this forum has ever worked with them?
They located at Village Center Dr., Freehold, NJ 07728, with a listed phone (732) 414-2727, www.firstmovingusa.com
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi, "1st Moving Corp" moved my parents house from Toms River last summer, they charged $1500 for 3 bedroom townhouse and used 2 trucks. My Dad was happy with them.

You have to be EXTREMELY careful with moving companies. Some charge by weight and some charge by footage. A good amount of them are leeches and have hiden costs. Remember: the keyword is ESTIMATE. Go on BBB.org and plug in the name of the moving company. It will tell you their report card rating. They are the most reliable source I have ever used. Try to stick with moving companies that are BBB accredited. Good Luck on your move!
