Not sure what you mean with crazy taxes. South Jersey is much lower than other parts of the State.

As far as Delaware, just make sure the 55+ house isn't a land lease, which is very popular in DE.

Hahaha, I have two.

I went to Florida a couple of times a year when I was married and my mother-in-law was still living.

I loved my mother-in-law, but after she was gone, I had had enough of it.
