I wanted to know what have people experienced while travelling from Droyers Point to Central Jersey both in the AM and PM.

I will be moving to Jersey City in Jan. But I currently work in Central Jersey in Piscataway and will need to take 440 and the turnpike.

Would like any opinions on how the commute might be year round, especially in winter, considering I will be moving in Jan 2011.

Hmmm, Noogle maps' first suggestions advise to drive through Stagnacious Island, which if it weren't for the extra tolls might not be such a bad idea. I like to avoid the Newark Bay Bridge on the NJ ThornPick whenever possible, me I would head for Truck 1&9 just to avoid getting stuck on that part of the Pike which seems notorious the few times I've taken it. Looks like going down the Pike might be sort of the shortyest then, I just hate the thought of payting those tolls. Other roads would usually take longer.
