Default Pinebarren, If all the deviants are leaving,

Why is that sad? If taxes are lower close by and you can stomach living there-why would you stay where you are?
Maybe you should find something to occupy your time so you won't have to ponder such things.

im going to post my opinion on new jersey...i have practically lived in new jersey for my entire life and i love it...ive been to some of the nicest areas of new jersey and some of the worst..honestly new jersey has it all, it has all the seasons the autumn in new jersey is the most beautiful autumn youll see in the entire country sure you can move out to another state but it doesnt have all the qualities new jersey has...yes new jersey has a corrupt goverment but in my opinion i see the goverment working harder to better the inner cities than i see it trying to help the suburbs..ive been down south before and i cant imagine myself ever living there..you cant enjoy a nice winter by a fire place or building snowmen in florida...one other thing ive noticed about the sounthern states is that its more about franchise and chains of stores up here in new jersey we have alot of family oriented restaurants and the pizza is 10 times better!!!! for all of you bad mouthing new jersey and your still living here whats stopping you from leaving? i love new jersey and if i ever do leave i know ill return eventually

What's practically all your life? 15 years? I've lived here over 40 years which IS my entire life. If you've got a problem with reading other opinions that differ from yours then that's your hang up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. For better or worse.

Yep, especially on this particular thread which seems to have a sense of immortality to it (it's well over a year old). I guess the topic: 'worst towns in NJ', can't really get old? lol

We hope to renovate another building for riverfront condos with a historic flair. Also, we want to put in a bed and breakfast as there is lots to do in Phillipsburg, (steam engine train ride, restaurants, Easton's state theatre, Crayola Factory) but few quaint places to stay near the river views. Wish us luck! We are also open to any comments and suggestions. Many thanks for this opportunity.
I like the location of Phillipsburg, and it was getting quite vacant looking.
Your plan sounds wonderful . A B&B with new, additional renovated homes, a great idea. However, what do you do with the large amount of sex offenders in the Phillipsburg area? When checking the local area for my daughter who lives just over the border. It was shocking how many squares show up in the town. I wasn't the only one who noticed that, the neighborhood across the border all talked about it. So then, are they still there in the low income housing, or will they move elsewhere?
And in that case, "elsewhere" is not hoping for that either.
