Default Autistic Kid 3 years old moving to NJ need to find School

Hi
We would be moving to NJ in Feb 2011. We propably will be living in Bergen County in Ridgewood, Rivr Edge or Fair Lawns. I have a son who is daigonised of Autism and is getting services here in CA since he was 2. He is scheduled to be evaluated and get an IEP from CA's School District in Jan . I don't know how things work in NJ. Who should I approach for evaluation and can I start the process from here before we move there. WHat are the complications involved and what should I have with me to present my case. Which is the best school district for Preschool Programs for children with Disablities. I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this informtion.
Thank you

For incredible resources, I'd call Jewish Family Service of Bergen County. They are located in Teaneck. While they may or may not provide programming or offer services, they will absolutely be able to tell you who to call, where to go, etc. for everything.

For schooling -- call The Alpine Learning Center in Paramus. They will be able to tell you where to go and what to do for schooling, educational testing, etc.

For medical and related testing -- call Dr. Arnold Gold's office. He is one of the leading experts in the country, and he has an office in Englewood.

Good luck.
