How come snow is still blocking major roadways in Jersey City?
Seriously. The areas around Washington Blvd and the Mall, the post office near the on ramp to 280..... I just don't get it. It's creating dangerous traffic issues.

My personal opinion is due to budgets many towns laxed off in the snow clearing, of course they would never admit to it

Playing the snow card!
Probably sympathy snow to garner support of some pol or union.
Could be it slows traffic to make the streets safer for pedestrains or maybe snow depth is statistically associated with a lower crime rate?
Look closely in towns like Woodbridge and you might see a pattern of snow removal that coincides with municipal brotherhood residences.
Snow has become the new political leverage tool. Formerly used to make angels in the snow, now just political hay and payback.
If Corzine was still gov that JC snow would be long gone in the city that shares his initials.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that 18 of their 67 plows broke down in the blizzard. Maybe they think it is good enough, and that the reward doesn't out way the risk.
