Hi, I have read some Harrison NJ threads and I think this is a good fit for me. I am 28.I tend bars and do nightclub security by trade. I grew up in and around NYC {mostly Queens, Brooklyn, Yonkers and a stint on LI}. I am almost 90% percent sold on Harrison. I grew up blue collar and am pretty comfortable in that environment. I have some understanding of the Jersey side having lived in Cliffside park very briefly. The access to PATH to go see good friends and family is priceless to me, since I have been on the west coast some years now. The appeal of jersey to me is that it seems to be much more for your money than Bensonhurst or Bay Ridge and Path connects me everywhere. So here are my questions.... I read a forum about the observer (the local paper round Harrison,) their classifieds for some reason do not work. I have done the craigslist thing and received so-so results I know there's better deals around. Can anyone steer me to another local paper, or a trusty realter? My issue is I am stuck out west till the winters over and have no interest in driving cross the rockies in the winter. Also is Harrison the kind of neighborhood people post up for rent signs on there buildings? Or how would I be better off looking. Place would be for my self and my girl she is a Brooklyn girl. My priority's are:
1{close to path
2{decent area I'm a city guy born and bread I just don't wanna be in the slums.
3{also parking would be huge save on stress I know its possible seen some listings.
4{looking to spend a $1000 or less with parking and maybe heat paid if I'm lucky.
5{we prefer a one bedroom or as much space as we can get.

would need the place around march gives me some time

I will most likely be staying with friends in Port Richmond SINY or Kew Gardens in queens with friends.

My back round is Italian and Irish if that matters {also anyone knows where the good Pasterias and Italian groceries stores are driving distance from there lol}

Thanks for any help or Direction in finding a spot
