looking for general contractor in summit nj (Westfield, Scotch Plains: pub, kitchens)

I'm looking for a general contractor in Summit NJ to do Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling.

Does anyone has any particular contactor they work with before is reliable can recommend?

What is the process of getting city of Summit permit to do remodeling work?

I'll appreicate any information.

I'm in Westfield, but I'm sure it's all the same...
I believe the contractor applies for the permits or you would go to Dept of Pub Works in your town if you want to do that part of the job.
As far as recommendations, lots of people in this area use:
David Leitz on Boulevard in Westfield for kitchens - supposed to do great work
Johnson Brothers in Westfield or Scotch Plains, not sure which - they do major work also all over here.
