But then I may as well go ahead and meet up with everyone on here that agree with me, including the ones who sent my private messages right?

Well I'm not sure of the subject matter of those private messages, but it might be a start. Did you know that 17% of weddings in 2010 were from couples who met online?

I wouldn't be surprise, maybe it's even more if you account for those who don't want to reveal that info. I think online dating is still somewhat taboo. Where did you get that stat from?

You started by sayings you can't survive in NJ if you're not worried about status, you'll get eaten alive. Maybe that's true of Short Hills, but it's not true of Livingston, West Orange, etc...Sopranos was based in NJ because that's where David Chase grew up, and he was exposed to that in NJ. I grew up in Northeast, PA, which had it's fare share of mafia-related politics and corruption also. As for Jersey Shore - sure, seaside heights is like that, but go to Ocean City or Cape May...I would hardly call it "typical" new jersey residents. if you don't like NJ, that's fine. I'm not an ardent defender of it by any means...but I pointed out - you can get by just fine if you're a relaxed individual that isn;'t concerned about making $500,000/yr...my wife and i do it. others do it. if one feels pressured, it's their own personality that makes them not survive.

for Bradykp: Seaside Heights is not like the Jersey shore tv show. Everyone pretends like they know it all because they see it on TV. NJ is not the Sopranos, Jerseyliscious, the real houswives or even The Jersey Shore tv show. I lived there for over 20 years and Bennys do not define the great place it is.
NJ is the most densly populated state in the country period.

I couldnt agree more. How can you judge the state and its people by one area of the state. You live in a family oriented neighborhood and are a single young person of course you would be miserable. Just like I would hate living in Hoboken its too noisy and crowded for me! Every area of NJ has different things to offer different people.
And something great about this country Westcoast8 - you are free to live wherever you want! If you dont like it here move its as simple as that. You are not being forced to stay. You can go to California, Texas, New Mexico Florida whereever your heart desires So dont generalize the state based on one county, you havent lived or experienced it to its potential.
