Well, in the suburbs we are. Apparently, the urban areas are the lands of milk and honey where you can just build new charter schools on the backs of the taxPAYING citizens of the suburbs who elected Christie.
CC has TURNED HIS BACK on the suburban residents who elected him! Especially those in Monmouth/Ocean counties who gave him his biggest margins on election night - don't let let him forget this!

It's a good thing, if only for the fact that it annoys fat cat union leaders.

Wow we have really come far around here. First of all while it may annoy some people does it really hurt those "fat cats" you speak of? The wool is being pulled over people's eyes in regards to schooling and since it purely political most of people just go along with it. So again I ask why dont charter schools have Lep students or special needs children?

Because if they took all children regardless of special needs, abilities or behavioral issues, their results would mirror what you see in public schools. If I could pick and choose which students attended my school, we'd look really good too.

Charter schools = BAD
A charter school is nothing more than a breeding factory that preps kids to be cogs in Corporate machines...
They are seriously the work of the devil.

What are you talking about? Privately funded? They are public schools that essentially can discriminate or educate who they want.

When I look at charter schools, I can't help to notice that the students in their majority are either Blacks and Hispanics. I refuse to believe that in a city like Newark there are no poor Caucasian and Asian students. For a nation that speaks of diversity, I fail to see the diversity practised in these schools. Needless to say, the cost is pretty much funded by the people for the people......I guess.
