Opening date set for new light rail station at southern end of Bayonne | NJ.com

This is good news for Bayonne , Hopefully this can spark some new developments around the station.

Hmmmm, is this really that necessary? I dont know Bayonne that well but isnt there already 2 LR stations? It isnt THAT big of a city...

Its a long city , theres actually 4 LR stations. Which is common for LR , LR stops every 5-10 blocks like a subway. Or in the case of the Riverline its a few stops then a few miles.... Theres 45th Street , 34th Street Park and Ride , 22nd Street and 8th Street Transit center. Sometime later this decade it will be extended into Staten Island over the overhauled Bayonne bridge.
