The low cost of living and no sales taxes is promiseing, but once your here for many years, you will get tired of how boring it is cause lets face it, It really is what everyone says (coming from someone from PA that relocated to DE and lived there for 5 years finally leaving )

Which of the opinions expressed in this thread were made by "everyone"?
I have family in the Wilmington area and the developments kind of remind me of parts of Bergen County, but venture further south...not so much. Pretty nice state but I don't know much about the economic climate.
We looked at DE when we retired but found it actually was cheaper to retire (retirement income is treated differently than salary) upstate NY and upstate had more to offer us. COL wasn't our biggest priority, rather what was there to do, traffic, congestion, etc. were important factors. We're happy with our choice and travel in RV south for a few months if we want to get away from the cold.
why it is always us-vs-them - they suck, we're great, no you suck more and we're great. NJ and Delaware are 2 totally different places and like.everywhere, they both appeal to people for different reasons.
Delaware? Too cold in winter. After 35 years in Jersey, we move to Nevada in two weeks!
If you don't think Nevada doesn't get cold you're in for a rude awakening.
