Hi All,
I moved a few months ago from NJ to Florida. I left because people in NJ who try to do what is right get punished by the State. You have no rights as if you lived in Suddam's Iraq! There are no laws to protect you! I found out that a Hotel we were scraping and sanding to paint in Cape May was lead based paint. This was in mid summer in the outdoor dining area a few feet from the sidewalk. We worked early so the restuarant could serve lunch. The whole place was covered in lead dust. Adults, children, the elderly and pregnant ladies were walking thru the dust as it blew in the wind. The tables and chairs were covered. We would leave and the hotel staff would clean up. None of us were protected as we did not know we were grinding lead paint. Lead is deadly! http://epa.gov/lead When I found out it was lead I blew the whistle. The next day I lost my job. The State wrongly denied my unemployment. The Dept Of Labor ignored the States Whistleblower Act. I had phone hearing where I gave my sworn testimony. The hearing were recorded. I later found when I got copies of the hearings that the State erased, altered and edited the hearing! They altered my sworn testimony! A little digging revealed that the Hotel was owned by someone appointed to a State office by the Governor. Every right I should have under the law was violated and ignored by every state department and employee. I am being harassed to this day even though I am in Florida! I wrote certified letters to the Governor, Attorney General, Inspector General and every appropriate office and got nothing! It became apparent that the state is run as defined bu "Organized Crime" "criminal activity on the part of an organized and extensive group of people" So many state employees and departments would not flagrantly violate so many laws and my rights under the law unless they were being directed to do so and knew they would not be punished. NJ is a dictatorship! No rights at all as if it were Iraq. I can not guess how much it cost the taxpayers to have so many state employees flagrantly violate the law. The taxpayers are paying for illegal activity in the government and to have your rights under the law ignored. GET OUT OF NJ BEFORE THEY GET YOU! This video at youtube pretty much sums it up! http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZH31SmAuqHQ Send links to your friends in NJ. All residents need to know! If any of you stayed in Cape May and were ill and do not know why you may have unknowingly been exposed to the lead. Thank your government for being more concerned about protecting office appointee's than the tourists. NJ is a sick place! Last edited by corruptnj; 08-22-2006 at 10:56 PM. Reason: Fixing text |

You think it's not true? You think it's ok for a Government to strip you of your rights under the law? You think it is ok to coverup toxic lead exposure? Maybe you should move to Iraq or better yet, NJ! |

CorruptNJ, I'm concerned! I'm getting out and many of us are getting out. The Big Wig's don't care. They're the biggest criminals I agree. I'm going to check out the video now. We're all fed up with NJ. They keep sucking us dry, dollar by dollar. and now apparently, Lead paint. You best go get checked out by a Doctor. What was the name of the hotel? If you want to publicise this go talk to a news reporter. Hit them all up, Tv stations, Nj news channel, all of them.

As much as many of you NJ people tend to think you're "Too good for PA" and look down upon as as being "redneck hicks", you won't find such corruption and blatant disregard for the welfare of the general public here in PA. When something goes awry here that is potentially environmentally and/or medically hazardous, our government responds immediately. (Remember Three Mile Island in Harrisburg or the Scranton giardiasis outbreak of the 1980s?) Perhaps a move to the Keystone State would have been better than heading all the way to FLORIDA? At least here you can still be within an hour or two of friends and family with lower housing prices, lower crime, and...gasp...housing options other than cul-de-sacs. I'm sorry to hear that you acted on behalf of the greater good and were punished for it, but I can't honestly say I'm surprised with all of the horror stories I've heard about NJ politicians, who will seem to bend over backwards to get themselves ahead or to make some $$$, regardless of the consequences to others. I was considering a move into NJ, but I've been hearing too much negative on this thread and even from threads as far away as Maine and Illinois to get me to "take the plunge." Best of luck to you in the Sunshine State! ;o)

And just to think about 20 or so years ago New Jersey was considered The Safest State and it used to be printed on the back of all car inspection stickers.
Hence my handle "njnomore" I'll probably much sooner than later (maybe within a month or two) be moving to PA where it's much more friendly on most counts. |

I'm sure you have an Attorney.
What has he/she advised you to do in this case? |

It is Congress Hall on the beach in Cape May. It is owned by Curtis Bashaw who was appointed to the Atlantic City reinvestment committee. A committee that uses casino taxes to rehab historic buildings. Can you guess what historic building was re-habbed? Nick |

Try to get an Attorney in NJ that is not corrupted by the State. I had two attorneys take my whistleblower case on a contingency. Both worked in labor related issues. Both dropped off the face of the earth. It became obvious to me after the second that the State was making deals to not take my case. Probably something like... We owe you one! Both saw my evidence, both took the case on contingency, both disappeared! Both ignored emails, both ignored certified letters. Both knew I used a email program that verifies that an email was sent, received and notified me when it was opened so neither would even open my emails. They knew I used the program because of all the emails I had from the State. Surprisingly when the first Attorney droped off the face of the earth all State employees and departments stopped opening my emails! I had to send them using different names or the State would not open them. Nick Last edited by corruptnj; 08-23-2006 at 02:55 PM. Reason: added the last sentence |
