Jay-Z has a club called the 40/40 Club: Welcome to The 40/40 Club. The hottest sports bar and lounge with a club atmosphere (http://ac.the4040club.com/Default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 - broken link)

Also, The Pool at Harrahs is really cool, it's a dressy indoor nightclub but with pools and hot tubs, they even have free locker rooms with showers, etc: Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Nightlife - Pool After Dark

There are many more, Mur Mur and Casbah are more techno than hip hop, with the requisite dancing girls in cages, etc, and very much your age group. Boogie Nights at Resorts and The Disco at Trump Marina are lots of fun, throwback places complete with disco balls and lighted floors. They get a very mixed crowd but a lot of young people, too.

In the summer there are a lot of fun outdoor places with live music. My favorite is the beach bar at Trump Plaza. They have some great bands, and there's nothing like dancing under palm trees with a cool ocean breeze, looking back at all the lights on the casinos, etc...AC actually looks beautiful to me from there!

There are also beach bars at the Hilton, and one other that I can't think of right now. The Deck at Trump Marina is also great, they get awesome bands, and it's right on the bay in front of a marina full of multi-million dollar yachts.

The outdoor places start early (in the daytime, with the better bands at night, though) but some of the nightclubs, like Casbah, don't open until like 11, so you can do both, too (I hope you're staying over?) I feel I need to warn you, don't expect a budget night as many or most of these places will have a cover charge, and drinks are generally expensive.

What sort of restaurant are you looking for?

I would say Mur Mur in Borgata. Sometimes The Pool Party in Harah's is Hip Hop (depends on the night). Casbah is a mix of everything...dance, hip hop, etc. I believe the club in Tropicana plays hip hop too.

As far as restaurants, how much are you looking to spend? Showboat has a really good buffet (I think it's $25 when you have the total rewards card), Borgata has a great steak house and a few other restaurants, but they tend to be expensive, The Irisih pub is really cheap, but good food (164 St James Pace), White House Sub shop has awesome Philly Cheese Steaks (2301 Arctic Avenue)...It really depends on what you want to eat, how far you want to travel, how much you want to spend, etc.

As far as spending your day, are you staying over, will you have a room to change in or anything? Because if you're in beach bars in the day you'll be sweating and in totally different clothes than you'll need to get in the clubs at night. Also are you planning to sleep anywhere or just drive home after drinking all night?

What kind of food would you like for your birthday dinner? I have only been to one buffet, Caesar's, and it was TERRIBLE, $30 pp and was as bad as Old Country. Also, are you coming on Saturday or during the week? If Saturday you'll end up in line for 2 hours at most of the buffets if you go at dinner time, maybe go early, like 4.
