I'm going to move to Ridgewood. Is there a direct train to Penn station? If I take train everyday, is there any discount pass or monthly pass to NY? How much does it cost? I'm working on my budget.

go to New Jersey Transit - Home , since I'm bored...

There is no direct train(all Bergen and Main Line trains transfer at Secaucus) and it takes about 1 hour once on the train. Parking by the train station is terrible in Ridgewood so you have to leave extra time for that as well. A monthly pass will set you back $273, a ten trip will cost you $92.50

You do know NJTransit is a helpful tool rather than just going on here don't you?

Its 9.25$ one way (273.00$ Monthly) form Ridgewood to Penn Station , you have the choice of the Bergen line or Main line form Ridgewood to Secaucus both lines meet at ridgewood and both go to Hoboken / Secaucus. Follow the crowd going upstairs and transfer to a NY Bound train...there are big signs. It should only take you 55 mins for your whole trip...

Hehehehe, I love your faith in the system . I take this line everyday and it's rarely on time...the transfer at Secaucs is where things usually go downhill. Plan on at least 1 hour.

thanks a lot. Is it free to park at the station? If I take the train at 7:00-7:30. Can I find a parking place easily at that time?

That site has the times and prices, but it doesn't give you the real story IMO.

Erm , thats a tough one , depending on where you live in Ridgewood it might be better to walk to the station , then to drive and park...
