I am currently a townhouse owner looking to buy a house and was looking at Lebanon. My wife and I work in Morristown. How is the commute? Does anyone know about the school system, lifestyle, and any other things we should consider? The prices look too good not to consider compared to other Morris County Somerset County towns.
Lebanon Boro or Township? Boro is North Hunterdon, Township is Voorhees HS. Both are top notch, cant go wrong with either. The commutte from either wont be short but do-able. Clarify which one and Ill tell you more.
And some Tewksbury million dollar houses got Lebanon address. I got a client working at Morristown bought a house at Tewksbury at Larrel Mountain section recently that you should calll your realtor to take a look at, gorgeous NYC view ...
Lebanon is a nice area but you are going to have to deal with that I78 parking lot with your commute to Morristown. If that does not bother you than I think Lebanon could be an area to consider.
I believe I am looking at Lebanon Township? Is the Borough closer to Morristown? With respect to the commute to Morristown, are there any backroads that can get you around 78? Or are those routes just as long?

The back roads will take a longer time, but you can do it! 513 goes from Clinton, High Bridge, Califon, Chester, merges with 24...
Also, if you've had a hard day, the drive through the country-side can be relaxing!

you can also take lamington rd to 202N into morristown. yes, the ride can be relaxing!
lebanon is a nice place. i think the prices may be lower because it's a smidge out of the way.
Depending on what time you leave will determine traffic. Its not bad in the summer, but it does seem that at least every two weeks there is an accident. The good thing is that you really arent going to be on 78 that long, maybe 10 miles. Lebanon Twsp is really nice, it does seem to fly under the radar with Clinton, Tewksbury and Readington being in the surrounding areas. I think its one of Hunderdons best kept secrets. Worth the commute.
We have lived in Lebanon Boro for four years and have LOVED it! Schools are top-notch, but it's the area we love. We can walk to Round Valley Reservoir and have my boat on the water in 5 minutes. Ken Lockwood Gorge is a beautiful area of the Raritain River to hike and fish. Clinton is 5 minute drive and is a beautiful little "anytown, usa" town. Balloons are constantly flying overhead. I78 is seconds away and the train station is walking distance. It's one of the few totally safe and pristine areas left in North Jersey. While the sprawl may catch up in ten or so years, it still remains a beautiful part of the state.
It was a difficult decision to accept a relocation to South Jersey for this Sept, but it was an offer I couldn't refuse. We'll really miss this area.
If you're looking for a townhouse, PM me and i'll send you our listing.
Is the new development close to Lebanon train station good? It's still under construction. I am thinking to buy a townhouse there. Any thoughts? Thank you.
