Default Tenafly/Cresskill

Anyone have any thoughts re the towns Tenafly/Cresskill? Schools? Commute to midtown manhattan? Crime? Etc.? Thanks.

Both are great towns with excellent schools, crime is low (especially in Cresskill). I can't comment on the commute because I don't, but I think it depends on where in the city you work. Hopefully someone will come along with more info on the commute.

The commute to midtown manhattan from here is not too bad. There are busses, and within a few years the light rail line will extend to the tenafly/cresskill border. Right now the traffic is your typical northern NJ traffic, but you really are minutes away from the George Washington Bridge.

They are great communities with great schools.

I hope that the light rail they are talking about does get done, it would be great and is truly needed.

It takes about an hour on the bus to the Port Authority

The rockland coaches take you to the GWB, and from there you have to wait for the A train so it evens out

If you drive during rush hour it will probably take more than an hour if you drive all the way to midtown.
