I moved to Millville from the New York City area (Jersey City) and I have to tell you
that Millville is very safe don't let these old timers scary you. The never lived in other
cities and have nothing to compare it to. I hope they all move out and us the new comers will make it the best place to live in NJ. Millville has new construction everywhere.

I just returned from a visit there.
Well, its heartbreaking to see the devastation off of High Street. Cant describe it.
However, the Lake region is fantastic . Yet, after that, and maybe in a year when the track comes in, HIGH STREET will flourish, but now now.
Old friends are still there, and they are wonderful, but the city is struggling so badly that its all uphill. You cant even drive down nearby streets from the arts district.

SHHHHH!!!! The PC police might read this and call you a racist.

BTW...FACT...as reported yesterday in San Diego.

Six illegal immigrants who were suspected of stealing relief supplies from Qualcomm Stadium were arrested by Border Patrol agents after San Diego police stopped them Wednesday morning.

Bet you won't hear about this all over the media.

If you want to move to the Millville/Vineland area you might as well pony up a few extra bucks and move to Turnersville or Washington TWP. Or, you can really cough up the moolah and move to Cherry Hill/Voorhees. Probably the best two towns as far as what you get for your money are Collingswood and Cinnaminson. They both have good schools and are nice towns. Collingswood is up and coming and they are building up a gorgeous waterfront area.

I have made a decision to purchase a four unit apt building right near the riverfront project that is coming up. I am taking risk that hopefully will be rewarded when the track is built.
The town is blighted, no doubt about it. But this is the time to evaluate properties, just like stocks--buy low sell high. Rentals are flourishing and landlords are making a killing. The upside is to hold till that damn track is built in august 2008. The entire complexion will change and Millville will become a destination.
Dont ask me how to rid the vermin out of the rest of the City, but I am looking at this, like atlantic city where there are attractions, and a blighted city . A friend told me that the real culprit is the ACLU which will come down hard on folks ridding these thugs from their homes and theres not a damn thing that can be done.
