Yea but that doesn't allow for trains coming form the North / East to switch South and go to Temple / Market East. Only trains form Chestnut Hill West can use that line ....
No, more than just Chestnut Hill West use that line, before they changed the numbering, all train lines used that connection, but I just checked the map and ya, they just go under the NEC
Finally rail gets regional again about the deleware service how frequent will it be??
Its always been regional , idk about Delaware. Theres also a private company who wants to restore multiple Freight / Limit Passenger lines in the Eastern shore of Maryland and Delaware. Probably other then the Main line run every 2-3hrs.

the 3 that make sense to me are the ones being studied. Some of those projects seem like they shouldn't even be done considering they have such low ridership. They need to be more concerned with building and constructing the lines and stations with the most people.

Like what , these projects are designed to connect lines and take people off other lines that are near capacity...
Ive talked to a friend who works with the Cape May Seashore lines and he told me that the cost of restoring the line , with the 2 branches to Wildwood and Ocean City would only be 250 million $$. So its less then the MOM network or Lackawanna line but would boost the SJ economies...

As much as I would LOVE to see that happening, the NIMBY's of Ocean City would have a fit if this went through (although I'd love to see it) Personally, I think we'd be better off restoring the Shore Fast Line to Atlantic City as a light rail line, maybe with a park and ride by the Parkway for summer tourists to help make the city less congested. Also, the old train route is a rather long way of getting into Ocean City.
As for Wildwood, it's definitely doable, the only hard part (IMO) is trying to buy back some of the houses built on the old ROW and trying to get reasonably close to the beach.

Why would the line in OC be more opposed then Wildwood?

Ocean City is a much more conservative town than the Wildwoods, plus based on their reaction to the town wanting to put a bike path on the old tracks, I'm willing to bet they'd be even more opposed to this.
edit:
OCNJ girl please correct me if I'm wrong and update me on the bike path, I lost track of the issue. I pretty much only keep up with what's going on in the area via the Press of A.C.
So how many of the projects in the "early planning," or "needs to be studied" or other similar phases are published in any long-range or strategic plan from any state agency?
