there is hope I sold my house
Hi everyone, I bought the vacation home in upstate NY, I love it soooooo much we decided to move full time and sell this house. I live in Hillsdale, Bergen County. My house sold in less than 6 weeks. I have two suggestions, I got sick of leaving when people came to make an appointment. I noticed that the realtors who came knew nothing about this house, so I decided to stay and market my own house to the buyer and the realtor. In other words, I greeted them at the door and told them all the positive about my house!!!! The other thing was I did lower my price to an offer that was best for my town. There were complete dumps for lets say 429000. The next range was tiny houses at 424,000 and around that. So I marketed mine at 420,000. THis put my house the best for the value on the market. Yes, there is hope. I think you should do the mls search for your town and make your price a little lower than the ones similar to yours. I did get a full price offer.
By the way , someone asked me a while ago am I the guitarist stevemorse , no but I am so proud you knew who he was and I am a huge fan. Thanks all Marilyn

But there is hope. Do what I did , stay when they show your house. Tell them all the positives. The agent I got did nothing really but bring so many other agents to my house. So another agent actually sold my house and they are splitting the commission. But stay and tell them, like I have cental a/c , wood stove, etc.. etc... I noticed at first the agent showing the house did not know anything about my house when they walked in. I kinda sold my own house. There is hope, I know you are worried but try some of these ideas. Congrats to you!!!!! I am glad that worked for you! I just wanted to add my two cents...I know when I go looking for a house to buy, I am very uncomfortable if people are home when I look. I tend to rush through and just want to get out of there because I feel like I am invading their privacy. Just something to think about!!
I am glad it helped you though! Maybe you just have one of those personalities that people like!!
