I always see a lot of Jersey plates along 95 (in VA, MD, DE). I see Jersey plates everyday in my travels throughout the DC area . I joke that New Jersey is so small we all have to take turns leaving.

Several years ago my family and I took the Autotrain from Lorton VA down to FL. We drove the 4 hrs to the train station, and got in line and waited to check in and board. The train was running late so people were hanging out outside their cars. The guy behind us was from NJ so he walked over to us and we started chatting. Turns out he lived in the same town, about 3 miles from us. I live in a pretty small town.

We also met someone in Lake Tahoe from our town, but they lived literally 5 houses away! We had just moved into the house so we didn't know many people. THAT was weird.

We're everywhere!

We don't want to (or can't) pay the gas prices in any other state except here in NJ. So we don't go very far from home.

Drive down I-95/NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway: Jersey plates galore! We got 2 major metro areas in the US right in our backyards, why would we go anywhere else?

I see them more as opportunities.
