What is the status of the Elizabeth Ferry? (Princeton: real estate, construction)

I have read about a new ferry terminal in Elizabeth port and that it was expected to be completed by early 2007 but this information seems to have been noted awhile ago. Does anyone have any new information on when it is opening? Thanks!

there were a few bumps- mainly the permits from NYC for docking privileges- i've heard it's up again-but don't expect before mid 2008

I purchased an investment property a few steps from the water front.. and the dredging still in process.. at least the new Emergency Response Unit is complete!!

update:
I recently heard that the Elizabeth Ferry should be completed in 2009.. i believe it was posted on the NY TIMES..

I was also chatting with a friend who is into real estate and has good inside information.. he said that the Ferry was ready to commence construction as IKEA sold the RexPlex in ELizabeth.. that area will be part of the new Ferry..
