Route 80's no charm either but won't it move faster in the morning depending on when the OP leaves his house? If the OP has a choice definitely move to Bergen, Hudson, Essex or Passaic counties. But these days 2 hour commutes are really becoming the norm for a lot of people. My 1 hour becomes 2 hours with a light mist or a GSP fender bender

I agree with Tahiti. NOT WORTH the commute! It is way congested on 15 and there is RT23 is the long way with its issues of traffic. There is no sign of them widening or improving the congestion on 15 to 80 and with 23 being your only alternate rt...i would consider somewhere in Morris County before looking at Sparta if you are working in Lyndhurst. It takes us 1 hour sometimes just to commute to Montville!
