Well, at 7am tomorrow, we officially hit the road, bound for Atlanta. We closed on our house in Iselin on Wednesday, and we're outta here!
Best of luck to everyone- both those staying, and those going off to greener pastures...........
Bob
Hey Bob - Good luck! When you get settled let us know how you're doing! I moved to SC from NJ in January and love it here! You will only be a couple hours from me and I really think you will like the south, especially the weather. I've only said y'all a couple times so far!
Good luck ! Hope you and your family are happy there.. Looking at NJ, I would say anything else is better.. We moved in from Ohio over the last weekend, and I am already depressed
All the best for a new life !
You must feel like Andy Dufrense in Shawshank Redemption when he went 500 yards through the sewer pipe and came out the other end smelling like a rose. As yet one more ex-NJ resident that has escaped, my congratulations to you.

Not everyone is in the business of 'escaping' as a lot of people including myself actually do like it here. Some people, including Bob find better things elsewhere and that's fine. But some people who get 'lucky' to leave NJ do tend to miss it.
i am looking to get out of nj. it is getting too expensive. can you recommend any areas in nc. possibly outside of asheville area where i feel i already missed that boat.
