OK, so the signs around the parking lot at the train station in Hackensack New Bridge Landing train station say Daily parking $4. That is, from what I understand, you don't need a permit to park there? Is that right? That is, you don't need to sign up for anything way in advance, you can go there any day and then park there as long as you pay

OK, so where do hel do I pay!? Where do I get a ticket or something to hang on my mirror!? I went to the njtransit ticket booth computer thingy and bought a train ticket and there was no option to also buy a parking ticket

What the hell!? You'd think NJ and Hackensack would want to make there money and make it all more obvious...

There's got to be some kind of machine there or something. Usually they are near the daily lots exits, but I've never been to your station so I don't know. You could always just pick up the phone and call city hall/municipal clerk and ask.

The NJ Transit ticket person wouldn't have anything to do with it, though. Parking lots aren't run by NJ Transit, but the town.

Its usually a box towards the front that you put the money in the corresponding parking spot number. At least that's how it is at essex st. Its yellow, you have to park in spots with numbers.
