Thankfully no deaths. When Im on my bikes I always assume that no one can see me. I find a lot of Daydreaming drivers during this time of year. In my opinion it's the worst time of year to be on the bike not including winter.

Default 287n accident

Different accident. Different year. Different part of I-287.

I try to never stop on the shoulder if possible. Pull into a parking lot or the next exit. Many people get hit trying to change a tire on the shoulder. If you have no choice get out of the vehicle and call cops or tow truck. Otherwise you're a sitting duck.
