We want to completely renovate an old house in Guttenberg, remove walls and redo bathrooms, add a conservatory and open up to light with windows and doors plus completely change front entrance etc. In other words bring it up to modern design standards in as short a time as possible. We have an architect in the family willing to draw up plans and we will be sourcing the doors, windows and fittings ourselves, but we need a good reliable builder who is experienced with this sort of work. Has anyone had work like this done and can you recommend your builder?
I would be really grateful to find the best - someone to give us a quote sometime before the end of this month if possible. Ideally we will get 3 quotes and have a look at their work before deciding to go ahead.
Thanks for any replies, hoping some of you have firsthand experience or could tell me where to find out about builders apart from the web or phone book!
ps. We are moving from Australia so it's hard to find good info from a distance but will be in NJ from 17 May until 5 June this year and want to start the ball rolling.
