I'm moving to north jersey/metro area. I really would like to live in a town where I can get a few acres and a little bit more country style. Are there any towns within 45 minutes to an hour that would allow me to have land for my dogs and maybe getting some other animals? I'm going up soon to check it out so please give me any info you can.
Thanks
During rush hour? Doesn't exist.
60 to 90 during rush hour and maybe 45 other times? If you're able to spend 7 figures on a house look into northwest Bergen county and the surrounding areas.
There are two properties that came up in NEPA, about 15 min. to the border. One is 500K the other 299K Of course the more costly one is looking the best online. I sent you over the two by email.
I can't see a farm in NJ going for those figures.

Would you mind telling us what town in NEPA is less than an hour commute to NYC?
Yeah without that, we really don't have much to go on. Do you plan on taking public transportation to the city or driving? Do you work there or just want to be somewhat close?
OP hasn't been back, and he or she posted the same question in the general New York forum. I suspect he or she might have been a little shocked to learn how far suburban sprawl extends outside the city.
I'd like to rent something with a backyard and thats not ghetto like paterson eventually buy land. Orange county looks like the place to be with trains to the city and what not
