Rhys, Bell Supply in Pennsauken sells the GAF Weatherside individually and in bundles. You may call around your local area's building supply companies to see if they sell it. Buy a couple extra since if you have to cut them down you may break one, they are very hard and need to be scored dozens of times with a sharp blade, or cut (very carefully) with a reciprocating saw.

First of all, is it really asbestos? If the house was built prior to 1954, there may be asbestos in it. Secondly, it is easily removed and just throw away, no big deal. Asbestos is usually not a deal breaker. Call CSS they will do it right away. I can PM the number.

what is CSS? yes the house was built before 1954 and I hope that's the only wall that has the old siding. The rest of the house has new vinyl siding in the exterior..at least that what you can see....

I am asking a question on this subject, instead of screwing the dry wall over the asbestos, how about gluing it ? Or would the glue react with the asbestos ? and release fibers , who could answer this technical question ? Don't guess.

I think it's the asbestos insulation that more of a health hazard then Shingles. So long as you not bashing the shingles into dust, it shouldn't be too much of an issue to remove them. However they really should have been removed before the addition was fully added. Any fibers that are released will be INSIDE your house rather then outside.
