Default Piscattaway Anyone?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Piscattaway! I would move there in a second! I also love he Bound Brook area.

Default Towns

BEST
Westfield
Rumson
Basking Ridge
Mendham
Saddle River
Many more great towns, far too many to list

NOT THE BEST (listed in previous posts)
Just about anything in Middlesex County-sorry, but the post is BEST towns, not cheapest.
Keyport, Keansburg or Belford
North Bergen

Default Try Union County and Morris County

I particularily like Summit, but New Providence and Berkeley Heights are close behind. Short Hills (part of Millburn) is also great but VERY expensive. Also, check out Chatham (both Borough and Township) as great alternatives.

Being a broker with RE/MAX, I have have many satisfied customers in these towns.

Hi everybody, love reading everyones posts, found some nice towns ive never heard of.

Im getting married soon and my wife and I are trying to come up with some nice towns around. We have a couple of thoughts while were looking.

1. she needs fair commute into the city (train or bus, but more towards train) that would be an hour train ride for her.

2. a fair commute for me to drive to my job that i have in bloomingdale, new jersey. (i have a car)

Its hard since we both grew up in nice towns in bergen county, I grew up in Wyckoff, and she grew up in Allendale. So we see how prices by where we grew up are insane for new couples. Any advice would be great. Thank you all.

Lots of nice towns in Monmouth County at the Shore. Fair Haven, Little Silver, Rumson, Monmouth Beach, Manasquan for families. Red Bank is great for singles/young marrieds.
All are ridiculously expensive because they're near the beach and most are bedroom communities for NYC.

I can give a vote for River Vale. (It's #29 on the CNN/Money Best Places to Live list and the only North Jersey community on that list). Great schools, small town feel while still easy access to mass transit and suburban shopping. Also, check out this listing: Home For Sale: 517 Avon Ct, River Vale, NJ
