I need a contractor to do a kitchen remodel (tiling, cabinets installation, backsplash, small electric work) - The work would start preferably in August or September the latest. It is a small kitchen, so I estimate one week work worth. Please let me know.

You have to factor in inspection time that's not included in the actual work. That may add one to three weeks to your time estimate.
The actual work should not take over 1 week...
I will have a few weeks here and there with no kitchen, yes, due to the countertop order, etc.. keep in mind it is a small kitchen and I am hiring a plumber to do the plumbing...

If you're getting permits from your municipality...electric permit, plumbing permit, etc. and the inspector works part time for your town, this will add time to your job, beyond ordering materials and the one-week you think it will take to do the remodel.
I would really like to know how long this will actually take to remodel a small kitchen. Can you please post again after the job is completed? Thanks.
I appreciate your help here. I was just taking about "actual work time" not time spent waiting on inspections, permits, etc
