SO I have been looking into the Edison / Woodbridge / Piscataway area because of the NE corridor line. I am hearing though that parking is impossible in most of these train stations because the lot gets filled up very quickly. Does anyone know a train station that I can get daily parking fairly easily? i can go for monthly too but I have heard there are LONg waiting lists...

Thanks

Metropark in the Iselin section of Woodbridge has plenty of parking, as it's the largest of the stations in the area. I go into the city typically at least once a week, and I've always been able to find a parking space there. When the deck fills up, there's a surface lot next to it that they start using as well.

As far as I know, monthly parking spaces are still available as well. Fees are $5/day or $65/month (I believe).

The lots as Woodbridge, Edison, and Metuchen are much smaller and have always been tough to get a space in, but Metropark should be no problem.

Thanks, is it tough getting in the morning around 845? Will I be stuck for a while getting into Metropark?

I doubt it. Most people have to be into the office by 9 or so, so they're on the train before 8am. I often have meetings at 10:30 or 11am, so I'll take a train at 9:00 or 9:15. I don't get stuck anywhere, and there's only two times that I recall even having to use the surface lot. Personally, I'd prefer it over the deck anyway, as it's faster than circling up through 5 levels of parking.

Don't worry, I had parked in Metropark for a while before. It is not difficult to get in at 845, but it is tough to get out by the evening. I am sure you will have experienced it if you are already parking there by now.

Metropark - $5 for 24 hrs.
Comparing to Rahway Station, the rate is $6.50 for 12 hrs.

For Piscataway area, there are 5 train stations, Edison, Metuchen, Dunellen, Bound Brook, New Brunswick. And depends on which area you live. Many new condo townhouses owners seem to go to Dunellen Train Station, and big new houses built along River Rd seems to be closer to Bound Brook Train Station.
