Hi,

I recently started working in Somerset and am looking for a nice 2 BR apartment/Condo or Townhouse near the area. Cheaper the better! Any thoughts on which towns would be good places to look? I know I do not want to go near rutgers (bad area) thanks!

A guy I used to work with lived in Franklin Township, at a townhome near the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset. He had a Somerset address, on Carson Ct, which is right by Easton Avenue. Ask your realtor if there are any townhomes available at the complex near the intersections of Cedar Grove Lane and Lawndale Drive, near the Somerset Baptist Church. I know he sold his unit for 310k about 3 years ago.
It was in a good location, the interior was very nice, and it was very east access to I-287 and Easton Avenue.

Good luck. My coworker left the company about a year after that, so I don't have any more information than that.

Thanks! I have been looking at some surrounding towns as well. Trying not to go over 1300 for a 2 BR since I can get that anywhere. I figured it would be a bit cheaper here than up in north jersey. I know taxes are alot lower. Anyone else have thoughts on the area?
