I may take a job in Kenilworth soon. I am single and will want to meet new friends. I still like to grab a beer, play pool at a local spot, etc. Where is a good place to lay roots for a 39 yr old guy that's wants some nightlife?
Thanks in advance. |

Try Morristown. I used to consult at Schering-Plough, and from there, it takes about 20 minutes to commute, and there is a good amount of nightlife (I'm 38 and find it does the job in most cases--it's not Manhattan or anything, but you'll be fine).
If you don't mind a longer commute, there's always Hoboken as well. Good luck! |

Kenilworth is nice, but it just doesen't scream NIGHTLIFE! A restuarant or two on the Boulevard is all I can think of. Don't get me wrong it's a nice town, small proboblly less than 3 miles. A family oriented town. The previous post's suggestion was a good one, Morristown.

![]() But seriously, I live next to Kenilworth and it's not as bad socially as people think. Here's a few places right in town: -- Black Thorn on Michigan Ave. (nightclub/restaurant) -- Buffy's off 10th St. (bar) -- La Casa Nostra off Boulevard (cards/bar) If you're willing to travel a little further: -- Hooters in Union (restaurant/bar) -- Shooters in Union (gentleman's club) -- The Office in Cranford (restaurant/bar) That's a start, but your options will increase the farther you're willing to drive. |
