and where I can get atleast 1/3 of an acre. Do not want houses too close together.

All towns west of Irvington are good. Maplewood(Part by the trains station and to the west of it is best), Millburn, Chatam, Summit, Madison, Springfield. All have good schools. Millburn/Shot Hills is best if you can afford it( for 1/3 of an acre its $1MM and up for something decent). Just go on any real estate site like Zillow - Real Estate, Homes for Sale, Home Prices & Values, plug in your minimum and maximum and go from there.
