hi,
I am currently living in Astoria, but I'm newly pregnant (and single--don't worry, it's all good) and looking to move to NJ so that I'm closer to family.
Here's what I'm looking for:
--somewhere between Parsippany (dad) and North Arlington (brother)
--near train and bus (would love to have two commuting options as I hear that NJ Transit is often delayed)
--looking to rent a 1BR to start, no more than $1400 per month ideally
--want a town that has lots of green space (I really miss trees)
--would be great if the town had great schools, but I could always move once the kid's school age
--would love it if the town had a Whole Foods
Any ideas? Am I asking for too much? Am I forgetting any pertinent info?
Thanks!
D

I'd look at a town like Rutherford with a train station, nice downtown and good schools. Real close to N.A., about 30-40 mins to Parsippany. Not sure what the rentals are going for there currently
