Question Wedding Reception Halls in Bergen/Passaic

So I'll be getting married within the next year and a half or so, and I'm on a tight budget... My fiance's father is a caterer, so we have the food squared away, but now we have to find a decent hall where we are not obligated to use the hall's food services. I've looked into the Women's Clubs of Ridgewood and Englewood, and I know there are various VFW-type halls around, but does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations for cheap rentals? It'll be a big wedding, probably 150 or over, and I have no problem decorating the hall if decorations aren't provided. Thanks!

Women's Club of Ridgewood sounds like a good pick to me.

Default Wedding Hall-Upper Montclair NJ

We had our wedding at the Upper Montclairs Women's Club, there is a large room for your cocktail hour and the reception area is a old theater with a large stage and dance floor, there are also french doors out to two patios...Once decorated the hall is absolutely beautiful and so different than any of the wedding factories. They have a caterer they recommend, but We used our own caterer.. Good Luck!

I have been to rummage sales at the Women's Club and really thought it was a beautiful building. Could you tell me how much they charged for the use of their Club, and how far in advance you had to book it? I am now planning a wedding - on a small budget and this information would be very helpful. (I realize that the price that they might quote me will probably be higher, as everything is always changing.)

Thanks.

You can also try the local rescue squad. I had a wedding reception 15 years ago at the Greenbrook one. It worked out perfectly because they had a kitchen & the building was recently reno'd back then.

Not sure because I didn't pay for ours as it was a gift from my BIL at the time, but I think it is also tax deductible
