Hi,
My husband and I are interested in moving to Ocean County. We found some really good homes in both Brick and Barnegat. We need help in trying to come up with a decision. Can someone provide information to help us compare/contrast the two towns?

Some of the info we are looking for are:
Schools (Autism Program at the school is important)
Safety
Price of House ($300,000)
Property Tax
In general a great place to raise a family We love to do activities with our children every Saturday so a town that have things for families to do is a plus.

Thank you in advance for your help

Brick. Which ever way you want to compare. They are known for their autism program, as well as neighboring Toms River which is also nice. I honestly do not know much about Barnegat other than the fact that I have heard people call it "Barneghetto" or something similar. Just did a fast search on avg incomes in both towns and Brick and Toms River are much better.

Wow, I'm in the same situation. We're looking to move back to NJ, and we found a nice house in Barnegat, but heard the autism program is good in Brick schools. My 3 yr old son has high functioning autism. I think I would choose Brick, since the schools are good, and there's lots to do in the area, and still close to the beach.
