where to live ?
where in the NY NJ area would you live, if you were a single techie mom of a 3 year old ?
I am coming from the suburbs on the west coast, so while I like the idea of living in an urban area, I dont think I can handle some things (which could be preconceived notions ofcourse) like high crime or super old lead filled homes...
However, I do like walkable areas and would like it if there was a grocery store and library nearby, with REALLY good daycare... maybe this is a tall order but if you were me and have the choice of living anywhere - where would you live ?
tia for any ideas everyone

That's a big question....where to live.
Can you give us ideas of pricing, where you work, the type of house you're looking for?

I work in technology and while currently I have a I will probably be looking to change so as long as its within commuting distance of NY and some major tech companies I will be ok.
I also may be able to telecommute so... daycare , city quality of life, schools etc are more important... budget ? I earn a little more than 100k probably will go up
