Moving to river vale (Hoboken, Palisades Park: house, living in, bus)

My husband and I found a house we like in river vale. We have 2 small children and my husband will be working in rockland county. I will be commuting to nyc 3 days/week. Is the commute manageable? Also, we are jewish (not religious), and dont want our kids to be the only jewish kids in the class, so are there jewish people living in river vale? Thanks!

One bad thing in River Vale is you don't have a bus or train to NYC. You would have to go to go to another town along the Pascack Valley line to take a train into Hoboken, then NYC. Driving I would take the Palisades Parkway.
