I'm looking for an apartment in Cranford. I've checked online on craigslist and see that most apartments for rent are in 2 family houses.
Does anyone know of any apartment complexes in Cranford, preferably within walking distance to the train station? Price range is up to $1400. Thanks

there are several condo complexes which can be rented, you have to keep your eye in the newspapers though - look at local Cranford Chronicle first. I own at the Kahlcrest Condos on Lincoln Park East. Just rented a one bedroom. There are also 2 bedrooms there, nothing larger. They are walking distances to the train station and are within your price range.

There are other condo complexes on the North side as well within walking distance to town. There are also many apartments in the center of town above the stores. They just built apartments in the middle of town (called Cranford Crossing), but I think they might be a bit more expensive. You'll have to do that legwork yourself. All condos are quiet (and the center of twon is, well the center of town)

so there is a lot out there, but finding them is the problem. I'd check in this order: Cranford Chronicle, the Eagle (still a going concern???), Star Ledger and lastly, the Suburban News.
